John Winther | Managing Partner

John founded Harvest Properties in 2002. Currently, he provides leadership for all operations and strategic initiatives for Harvest and actively directs its investment and development decisions.

Before founding Harvest, John was a senior vice president at Spieker Properties, responsible for an eight million square foot portfolio as well as regional investment and development activities. John also helped launch the IPO for Spieker Properties. He has over 25 years of commercial real estate experience, from sourcing and structuring through managing, leasing and disposition.

John holds a Bachelor’s degree with honors from Brown University, and an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley, where he lectures in the graduate business program. He is a member of the Urban Land Institute.

John is actively involved in his sons’ Boy Scout troop, volunteering as an Assistant Scout Master. In his spare time, he enjoys travel and fly fishing.
