Michelle (Shelly) Riggle | Controller

As Controller for Harvest Properties since 2008, Shelly is responsible for all corporate and property accounting functions including payroll, benefits and IT. Shelly works closely with Harvest’s partners to maintain strong internal controls and to identify new ideas and initiatives to enhance and evolve the company’s operations and financial reporting systems, controls and financial management infrastructure. She brings over 20 years of accounting and commercial real estate experience to her critical position.

Prior to Harvest, Shelly served as controller for Trizec Properties Inc., a publicly traded Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT), with assets of $5 billion and revenues of $850 million. Her responsibilities included financial reporting and regional consolidation for a portfolio of 39 buildings comprising more than 20 million square feet of office space.

Shelly received a Bachelor’s of Business Administration in Accounting from West Texas A&M University. She is also a licensed Certified Public Accountant and member of the CalCPA and the AICPA. Away from the office you will find Shelly, her partner and two daughters hiking, biking, camping, and traveling the world. She also volunteers as President of her daughters’ school board, developing a passion for the Montessori method.
