In 2021, Harvest created a partnership with Prometheus Real Estate Group to enhance and enliven the City of San Mateo’s downtown through the entitlement, design and construction of a multi-site, mixed-use re-development project comprised of approximately 310k-sf of boutique office space, 22k-sf of ground floor retail and 71 affordable and 59 market-rate residential units. The effort includes three separate but proximate sites with a combined lot size of approximately 107,100 sf. The designs of the new buildings present a combination of modern and environmentally conscientious commercial spaces while also providing desperately needed affordable and market-rate housing and re-energizing the downtown’s retail and pedestrian experience. Entitlement efforts are in varying stages of progress with all three developments targeting entitlement approval in early 2024.
